Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it. Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. So I do not run aimlessly; I do not box as one beating the air. But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.’ Corinthians 9.24-27
Grace Church & Sport
One of the reasons we set up Grace Church was so there was a service suitable for adults, or families with children, which didn’t clash with Sunday morning sport. We know it’s hard to balance the two.
So, if that’s your situation, we would love you to join us! In our congregation we have a number of people involved in all levels of sport, from those who play for fun, to those who are more professional. Even our pastor is a football coach with Bath City Youth!
Christians In Sport
At Grace Church we are delighted to recognise and support the ministry of Christians In Sport (CIS). CIS is a group of Christians who are passionate about sport and passionate about sharing the good news of the Christian faith.
CIS have loads of resources and support available all over the country. Find out more about them here.
We are excited about our recent Sports Tots initiative on Friday Mornings 9:30 to 10:15 aimed at toddlers from 18 months old to 3 years.
