God of love,

We thank you for the life of the Queen, for her service to our nation, and for her faith in you. Be close to all of us who mourn, that we might find comfort and hope in your love, through Jesus Christ our Lord.

We give thanks to God for the life and the example of Queen Elizabeth II, who modelled for us the kind of servant-heartedness, others-centeredness, love, and humility that Jesus calls all of His disciples to embody. Let us keep the royal family and those who were closest to the Queen in our prayers, and take hold of opportunities to speak gospel hope into the mourning of our nation
