We would love you to come and join us as we explore life, faith and meaning
There is a warm welcome at Grace Church for all new and returning students. We would love to meet you. Please get in touch or come along at 4pm on Sunday.
GCB are delighted to announce that following a successful application and interview Susannah Padiachy has accepted the role of Assistant Minister of Grace Church and Emmanuel. This is a very exciting appointment in the mission of these two churches, which will enable us to further our task of engaging with the community of Bath and spreading the gospel of Jesus.
The process to appoint an assistant minister began many months ago but, as with most things, was interrupted by the covid-19 outbreak. The leadership of each church agreed to start the process again last month. Our pastor, Michael, says: “I am personally very excited to be working with Susannah in this capacity. God has given her many and varied gifts, from which we all already benefit, and I look forward to seeing how He uses her in this new role”.
Please pray for Susannah, and for Padi and the family, as together they embark on significant change with Susannah in FT ministry.
We don’t want people to be so busy with church meetings that we are not able to spend time with our family, neighbours and friends, sharing life and the gospel with them. We therefore ask members of the GCB family to commit to just two things: Meeting regularly on a Sunday at church and joining a midweek home group. We ask our members to prioritise these two meetings, and we then keep the rest of the week free for other activities and commitments.
Events such as five aside football, meals, quizzes and games evenings are arranged termly and often spontaneously!
We understand how hard it is to navigate these uncertain and anxious times without much contact with one another. As your local church, though we cannot meet for Sunday services, we want to bring God’s message of unfailing love, comfort, support and hope to you at home
Regrettably this means that, for a season of time, we will not be holding any public services or groups at GRACE CHURCH BATH.
Whilst it is not possible for us to meet together, we at Grace Church remain committed to loving our neighbours and serving our community. We will do this as best as we can in these unusual and difficult times.
ONLINE SERVICES AND CONNECTION
Services will be streamed online at 4pm every Sunday
We will also be updating and posting regularly onto the Grace Church Instagram (gracechurchbathuk) and Facebook page (@gracechurchbathuk), so do follow these as well if you can.
We will continue to pray daily, bringing before God our concerns and requests and trusting His promise to hear us when we pray. We would love to pray for you and would love to hear from you about things that we can be praying for. Please use the contact details below.
We realise that this is a time where many of us will be anxious, afraid, and with increased isolation we will potentially be feeling quite lonely. If you would like to be in contact with the church please use any of the following and we will respond as soon as possible:
Telephone/text: Revd Michael Farrier on 07754 574058
With every blessing.
Revd. Michael Farrier
